Paul Golin, executive director of the Society for Humanistic Judaism, will make a case for understanding values along a spectrum from universalistic to particularistic, and how this may explain key differences between Humanistic Judaism and other Jewish approaches. He will offer specific examples, then facilitate a conversation that may help us all better understand why we feel the way we feel about various social issues.
